Me
Jan Radwanski
is a photographic artist whose interests
include the restoration of late 19th Century
Japanese hand tinted photographs depicting
images of Geisha and other associated
Japanese work including 'Katagami' stencils
used for the basis of the screen printing of
Kimonos.
Jan is also involved with the restoration of
images relating to Newcastle/ Tyneside and
Northumberland from over 100 years ago.
Throughout the last few years, Jan has
acquired rare images of NUFC during the 1895
to 1918 period + a vast collection of
original glass plates taken by Alexander
Lamont Henderson, Queen Victoria's Royal
appointed photographer.
During the last 2 years Jan has developed
his own photographic artwork creating
stunning floral images utilising the use of
his own photographic techniques coupled with
digital artwork to produce unique Floral
Studies. During the last 3 months Jan has
entered his work into 2 competitions winning
a 1st prize in Photography at the EXPO 2010
Exhibition and given a highly commended
award by the British Heart Foundation
relating to his photographic entry for the
Red for the Heart Photography Competition
celebrating the foundation's 50th
Anniversary.
Jan's ambition is to continually develop his
own unique style of photographic artwork
into territories new ...... watch this

Jan's Historic Milestones :
● First person to hold a solo exhibition at Alnwick Gardens.
● Held Exhibition at The Theatre Royal during April to commemorate NUFC
Centenary winning of their 1st FA Cup Win in
1910
(TV and Newspaper coverage)
● 1st Prize Photographic Award at Expo 2010 Exhibition.
● Highly Commended Award in 2011 Photographic Competition by British Heart
Foundation.
